Harding’s of exmoor is an Independent, family run leather & sheepskin business founded in the beautiful villages of Lynton and Lynmouth in 1971. Selling beautifully crafted products.

50 Years of Excellence

Exmoor Sheepskin started life as “Hardings” by Jane and Ken Harding in 1971 based at “Number 17” in Lynmouth North Devon and remains operating there today, it’s the heart and soul of our business. We rebranded the name to Exmoor Sheepskin and the Business remains solely owned and operated by the family. Exmoor Sheepskin is just one of the Businesses we run but it’s the one that started it all off. We maintain the same High values for quality and customer service that have enabled us to keep trading even in the most difficult times whilst other businesses have sadly suffered.

The future looks bright and we are evolving as a business we aim to reduce our carbon footprint  and to help protect and develop the natural environment where we source our Merchandise from. We also source all of our products from companies that share our same values, who use natural processes and sustainable resources in the production of their goods, all of which are hand-selected by us to ensure their finest quality and durability.

Environmentally Friendly Business Strategy

We are happy to announce that as part of our Environmentally Friendly Business Strategy to both operate our business with minimal impact on the Environment and help to protect the environment where we source our products from, Exmoor Sheepskin has joined Plantlife.

A portion of the profit from every sale will be donated to Plantlife.

Who are / What is Plantlife?

Wild flowers, plants and fungi are the life support for all our wildlife and their colour and character light up our landscapes. But without our help, this priceless natural heritage is in danger of being lost.

Plantlife is a British conservation charity working nationally and internationally to save threatened wild flowers, plants and fungi . We own nearly 4,500 acres of nature reserve across England, Scotland and Wales. We have 11,000 members and supporters and HRH The Prince of Wales is our Patron.

Our team of dedicated conservation experts work with landowners, businesses, conservation organisations, community groups and governments, pushing boundaries to save our rarest flora and ensure familiar flowers and plants continue to thrive.

Plantlife was instrumental in the creation of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation and we are a member of Planta Europa, a pan-European network of over 60 wild plant conservation organisations.
